I enjoy it when I give a new meaning to things. Given technical information I can analyse them and get scientific results, or given raw food ingredients and spices I can cook them and have delicious food, given paraffin wax I create candles that never existed before.
I love making candles and how paraffin wax can turn into a meaningful thing, it is somehow similar to 3D printing in my opinion. Every single candle is a new experiment for me and I delight in the moment of revealing the finished piece from its mould. For me, candle-making involves more than just pouring wax and removing the mould; it’s a creative process.
Candles
I particularly enjoy painting cubic candles because they offer four surfaces to decorate, almost like having four small canvases combined into one structure. About the white candle, I left it unadorned as I love it the way it is, purely white and slightly translucent.
What’s inside these candles are candle pieces, so they are completely burnable, however, I am not the one who can burn them after all the time and energy I spent on them.
You can use gel wax for capturing your imagination, like my little cook surrounded by floating fruits that I had made in primary school. The little candle snowman literally melted after a while, and that made it even more special and unique.
Gel wax is a fantastic medium for capturing imaginative ideas. For instance, I created a small candle featuring a cook surrounded by floating fruits back in primary school. Another candle, a snowman, melted over time, adding to its uniqueness and charm.
Gel wax allows for playful creativity. One of my favorite creations is a small candle featuring a cook surrounded by floating fruits from my primary school days. Another candle, a snowman, melted over time, adding to its uniqueness.
Making candles in layers is fun and the result is pretty but it needs patience and experience.
Layered candles are a fun project, though they require patience and skill to get right. The final result is visually appealing and worth the effort.
Layered candles are another enjoyable project. They look great and are satisfying to make, though they do require patience and practice.
I think spherical candles are cute, even the bomb ones (the one with a knife and matchsticks beside)
Not all parts of a candle need to be burnable and because of this, I attach whatever I like to my candles, even small cute branches I picked in a jungle. Of course, the little birdie in the photo is part of the setup and not an attachment!
Handicrafts
The Pictorial Carpet, which I finished in 2005, was my first and last experience. Weaving a carpet may not require creativity, but it definitely teaches you patience. Since the time I made this carpet, computer-designed carpets have become much more intricate and common.
My pencil holder is a simple DIY craft, but I’ve included its photo here because I like the layout of my photo!
These projects reflect my interest in exploring various materials and techniques. If you have any questions or thoughts about my work, I’d love to hear them!
Love love what you do, you are so very artistic and i love looking at your creations. Thank you for sharing on your informative website
Thank you so much my dear lovely friend
