Arasbaran Biosphere

The Arasbaran biosphere is a breathtaking natural area. In the photo of two trees you can see one tree shrouded in fog and the other standing clear in open air. The panoramic shot freezes the movement of clouds across the landscape. Being in this area was one of the most magical experiences of my life. At one moment, we were enveloped in clouds, and just in a few minutes the view would clear for hundreds of meters, next few minutes we were covered in thick fog that didn’t allow us to see the cars just a few meters away. The photo of the twisting river shows Aras river, with Iran on its one side and Azerbaijan and Armenia on the other. The sight of houses with smoke rising from their chimneys made me feel like I had stepped into a movie: springtime with purple and yellow wildflowers all around a cold jungle.

Kandovan Village

Kandovan is a unique village where houses are carved into the rocks. People still live here today, using donkeys to transport heavy loads and using other methods than Iran’s commonly used gas lines.

Tabriz

Tabriz is home to many historic houses, some of which have been converted into museums. Each house tells a story of the city’s rich cultural and architectural heritage.
